NOW ACCEPTING THERAPY CLIENTS IN OHIO

You make it look easy. That doesn’t mean it is.

Your mind never shuts off, and “just relax” doesn’t work. You’re struggling with the everyday small stuff because you’re so overwhelmed by the never-ending demands hanging over you. Something important is being avoided. Therapy is the space where you can just be. The space where YOU get to be supported.

What looks like thriving from the outside can feel like just surviving from the inside.

Achievement has a way of becoming who you are, not just what you do. That comes with perfectionism, self-criticism, and an exhaustion that’s hard to explain to anyone who only sees the surface. Maybe you’ve caught yourself thinking: “If they only knew what was really going on.”

You’ve gotten good at looking like you’re fine. All the right answers, the right pace, all the ways you make it look effortless. What doesn’t show is the version of you running the number at 2 a.m., or silently struggling with something that “shouldn’t” be an issue. That’s the version of you therapy is for.

Asking for help isn’t failure; it’s how you slow down to speed up. Taking care of what’s urgent now, while making room for what’s never been allowed to come forward. That work happens one-on-one, with a partner or family member, or in a more concentrated therapy intensive – whatever fits how you’re carrying this.

FOR PARENTS

Your hands feel tied. You’re watching your young adult struggle from somewhere you can’t reach – not sure what will actually help, or if there’s anything you can do at all.

The goal isn’t just helping your child. It’s helping the whole family breathe easier. There are two ways to work through this depending on what’s needed.

Working with Students Directly

College asks a lot all at once: new pressure, new freedom, and none of the structure that used to hold things together. That kind of change is exciting and exhausting in the same breath, and it can get lonely fast. Your child gets space to work through whatever obstacle has arisen, at whatever pace actually fits them, without needing to have the right words or need to perform.

You don’t have to guess your way through this. We’ll talk through what you’re seeing, and figure out what steps can be taken to help. Whether that’s how to support your child at home, or how to help them navigate what’s happening on campus from afar. Most parents tell me the same thing afterward: they are relieved, feel empowered to help, and grateful that someone gets it.

A Parent Consultation

The Difference

  • No session limits - You decide when and how often to be seen.

  • Consistency of Care - No turnover so you get support from the same therapist all 4 years.

  • Local support and wrap around care that bridges that from home.

  • A space off of campus to pause, be yourself, and seek support from someone who cares about you in and outside of sessions.

If your student is. managing a lot at once — for example, mental and physical health, academic accommodations — I also offer dedicated case management to help coordinate their care. Learn more about case management by clicking here. →

Come as you are. Not as you think therapy says you should be.

Hi, I’m Farrah.

A woman with shoulder-length brown hair, wearing a white blouse and a navy blazer, smiling and sitting on a white modern chair in a bright, minimalistic room.

Before private practice, I spent years in corporate settings and higher education, from working alongside attorneys and executives to a front-row seat at an IPO, and later, deep in the world of higher ed. That range came from a genuine curiosity, about people, about systems, about what makes someone become who they are. It's part of how I see people now: as more than any one label, one diagnosis, or one chapter of their life.

Every person who sits across from me is a story I haven't heard yet, shaped by things I haven’t lived and won’t assume to understand; your background, your culture, what you’ve navigated to get here.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my training means I don't just look at you in isolation. I look at the whole context you’re operating in: the structure of a life lived at home suddenly gone, a demanding job, a family that needs you. A stage of life no one gave you a guidebook for. All of that is in service of one thing: helping you trust yourself, and the empowerment that comes with that.

Authenticity matters to me in life and in this work. I don't believe in performing a version of "what a therapist is supposed to be." Show up as yourself, and I'll meet you there as mine.
